All the quilts I finished lately were just the backs. The tops have been done for months.

Esqmommy 06-10-2009 02:13 PM

That is so pretty!! What a lucky little girl. There was a time when my 10 year old (probably about 3-4 years ago) would have given anything for that quilt! Nice job!

Debbie1 06-10-2009 02:13 PM

Bev, another great one. I really like the tag you made for it! Wonderful job!

MadQuilter 06-10-2009 02:22 PM

I just bought the fabric at Walmart and put 2 colors of sashing alternating blocks. VERY EASY. The back is fleece

Bev, you've done another wonderful quilt! I loved your Tinkerbell quilt, and now this. My granddaughter is not yet a year old, but you've given me ideas! I love the fleece backing idea -- you don't use batting with it, do you?

THANKS....It was quick & easy. I wrote on it, ironed it to interfacing and went over the back with OK TO WASH IT. Simple :D

Nope, No batting. I'll try to do a tutorial for the way I do it the next time I do one which will be this weekend. IF the quilt top is wider then 60 inches. I buy double . Say I need 2 yrds. I buy 4. sew 2 together so I have one seam down the back. Nice thing is all the left overs can be reused.

littlehud 06-10-2009 06:48 PM

Oh Bev, she is going to love that. You did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing with us.

MollieSue 06-10-2009 07:10 PM

Bev - it's Great!!!! And I can just imagine her face when she gets it!!! :D I love how you did the label!
That 'It's OK To Wash It' stuff - that sets the ink/marker? Never heard of it before! I'll have to look for it!

thanks hun. the ok to was it is a washable/dryable fabric glue. i used it all the time when i used to put pRETTY pUNCH (punch embroidery) on sweatshirts. I love the stuff. When i put patches on hubbys pants, I go around the patch (inside of pants) so it don't come loose. I buy it at Joanns. $3? Here's info on it
