Beautiful quilt! I agree, dark blue border if you feel like adding it, and I'd go with matching binding.

It is absolutely lovely. If it were mine, I would add a border as a frame for the lovely work, but it is your quilt and you need to do whatever makes you happiest. froggyintexas

No. I actually think a border would take away from it. If the size is OK maybe just bind it with the same fabric as the backing. You can also roll the bacvking to the front for a softer binding if the quilt is for use. It is very pretty. I hope and pray your sister will be well soon.

I agree with Lori...the dark border will sure make it pop!!!

rosiewell 07-03-2012 06:58 AM

I just would do a dark binding I think it would finished nicely, nice work!

I agree with Lori a dark border would complete it for me. Let us know what you decide.

I like the solid border look ,but you can do what you think would be best for you. Thanks for sharing. love the colors and pattern.

What a beaut. quilt. Depending on the size you want, I'd put the dark blue border on or maybe just that dark blue as binding. That would give it a finished "frame".

Latrinka 07-03-2012 12:40 PM

Unless you wanted it bigger, it's beautiful as is!

If you bind it with the dark blue I don't think it would really need a border, unless you wanted to make it a little bigger though.

It 's a lovely quilt your sister is going to love it no matter what you decide.

I personally just like a (solid) border. To me it just is the final "frame" of a quilt. But it's beautiful now & I know your sister will love it either way.

I have to agree - I like it just the way it is, but if you choose to add a border, it'll be just as beautiful! Hope all goes well with your sister's surgery

I agree, I would bind it in a dark fabric. Looks good

nstitches4u 07-03-2012 04:58 PM

Very pretty. I like the idea of a dark blue border. I think it will make the quilt look more finished.

emlee51 07-03-2012 07:10 PM

Just a dark binding, like marilynsue suggested...

captlynhall 07-03-2012 07:17 PM

I think it looks good just the way it is. I wish your sister the best with her surgery.

kensington 07-03-2012 09:50 PM

Actually, I'd do Two borders, a thin white one to draw out that white in the quilt, and then another blue, perhaps 3 inch. It would also give her more quilt. Good job.

I like a border to frame the design. but with or without it is lovely

Jammin' Jane 09-18-2012 02:13 PM

I would just bind it in white...no borders! :)
Hope everything went ok with your sister's surgery!
