Do you all decorate your homes with your quilts?
I would love to see some photos :) Here are some of mine; 2 views of our bedroom and 1 of the living room. Thanks for looking :)

yes there are quilts decorating my home. I feel it makes the home more welcoming. Your house looks great. Your quilts are wonderful
Very pretty. Love the quilts you decorated with they add a nice touch. Sue
well that works for me
nice |
They look beautiful!
Well, I would if I had quilts this pretty!
I have a few, not as pretty as yourS tho! I used to make quilts to hang in my office but I don't have that job now. I got tired of seeing them in a pile so now I rotate them on my walls at home, even the bathroom!
Very pretty quilts!!
Honestly most of my quilts decorate my relatives houses.....I am quilting like a mad women on a pile for Christmas.....
I have very little wall space, no quilts on my walls. I have a couple in living room to be used. Most of mine has been given away. The ones I have are put away. I do have about six or so I alternate on our bed. I have a small house and I don't want cats laying on them.
Your quilts are gorgeous and you have so much wall space, they sure make your house look like a home. |
It makes your house so personal and lovely! Anyone who enters your home must feel the time and artistry you put into each and every quilted piece. Great going!!!!!!

What a beautiful home you have . I do wish I had open spaces to do this . I live in an old home that is very small but it is paid for in the country on 200 plus acres so it's all good . I just make thing and give them away or use them to cover up :)
Oh, how beautiful. They make your home so warm and inviting...and what gorgeous family heirlooms they will be. I've only made baby quilts and those are given away, of course. But you've inspired me to consider making at least a small wall hanging.
Most of my quilts are utilitarian, but yes, I do. I have quilts for window covers. We have an armoire separating my sewing area from the living room. There is a bedquilt on the back of that. etc.
The one in my avatar is hanging in my living room and in winter there's one on my bed. Three are living in my livingroom in a basket waiting for anyone who's cold or want to take a nap on the couch :D I made a few for the entrance to alternate.
Your quilts are gorgeous! |
Thanks for all your replies :)
I have less wall space in this new house; our previous house was much bigger and I had quilts and wallhangings everywhere! I do have space for a few more smaller quilts if I can convince DH to put more holes in the walls ;) |
I think they are all lovely.
How do you hang them? K |
Your rooms look lovely. I especially love the quilt that is on the bed. They all look great.
no, I don't but there is a reason. We have too many windows in my house. (never too many windows, actually!) and we don't have that much "wall" space. We live in a farmhouse and, unlike the new houses, we have windows on ALL fours sides of it. I have artwork packed away that I have not had any place to hang since moving to this house. So, no, I dont hang any quilt projects on the walls. Except in my sewing room. I do have wallhangings. In the living areas, I do have table runners etc in places that are horizontal.
Now, thinking about this, I should make a fun kitchen themed wallhanging. Ironically, the wall next to my kitchen table is large and BARE of anything hanging on it! hmmmm......good idea! Thanks! sandy |
I also decorate with quilts, but mine don't look as nice as yours. You have done a good job decorating your home with quilts. Thank you for sharing. It is always nice to see what our quilting friends are doing.

Beautiful home beautiful quilts!
very nice, love the bed quilt and the old singer. I think I'll get mine out of the garage?
All your quilts are beautiful. I believe quilts should be seen, not tucked away on a shelf or trunk. Make a home so cozy!
I live in a rental apartment. All the walls are standard white white white! So cold :(
So I use 3M hooks where ever there is a big enough space, and hang up my quilts! |
Your quilts look lovely
I have quilts in my sewing room, not in the rest of the house. Paintings are on the other walls, even in the bathroom, oddly enough. |
my house is too bad to show pics...lol
A number of quilts decorate my home as well as the homes of my children, nieces, nephew, etc. Your home looks lovely with your beautiful work displayed throughout.
Mine decorate a lot of people's homes, but definitely my own as well. On the beds, chairs, couch, walls, and windows! I like being able to change them from time to time.
Love your quilted decor.
Boy those are beautiful quilts. I love those colors and the patterns you chose. I've only got one of my quilts and it's hanging on the quilt rack in need of more quilting! Then I will probably give it away. The rest have all be sent to new homes. But after seeing your lovely home I may have to reconsider and make some for me! My husband likes things on the walls and many of the walls in our new house are empty.
You have beautiful quilts and they look great in your home. I have a few hanging, but could use more.
Yeah, a girl after my own heart. I have quilts all over this place and wish I had more wall space for them. Hubby made me take down the quilt over the dining room table of a dog lifting his leg on a tree. Gheez the man has no sense of humor! :D
I have them on every bed and one on the den door. One drapes over a cabinet door in the living room.
Beautiful!!!
The quilt on your bed is beautiful. They are all nice.:)
Wow.! That's just awesome!
I display some, I have given most away as gifts. I don't use them on furniture, I don't like for people to sit on them, it pulls the seams. But I do like the way they look on your walls and bed. Very pretty.
I decorate my office with my quilts. Don't have any hanging at the house.
I have four 4'x6' windows in the great room and all panelling (ugh). I am considering making quilts to cover the windows for the winter to help keep the cold out. Maybe insulated fabric next to the window, then the quilt. Years ago a company made something similar to go behind your curtains. Why not use beautiful quilts? Hope fading doesn't happen, however.
