Which do you like best?

I worked this up in EQ7 last night to use a JR and FQ set of Moda Marbles Warm with a JR and yardarge of Bella Solids Cream background. Which looks best, the colored center stars or the cream centers (sounds like a cookie)?
I like the 1st one :)
I prefer the 1st one
I like the first one also:)
Decisions, Decisions. Oh my! For me I would choose the the cream centers, for other people in the family the colored centers. Ok, I would have to make both
I vote for the first one! It highlights the star blacks:)
First one for me as well.
I like them both Aldo...if I had to cloose I think it would be #2. just because it is a little diff than the usual star.
I actually have enough to make both. I got two JRs of the Warm and 2 JRs of the Cream just because it was 4 for $100 and I thought they would make some nice, country-style quilts.
I like the first pattern
Number one - I love the color - it looks happy.
number one
I am going with #2
I like the first one best.

I've been thinking of getting a stock of basic quilts done for when I retire in 4 years. This has a very simple, classic look and the Marbles Warm are country colors but in a sophisticated darker palette, in my opinion, that could appeal to different tastes.
number one
I prefer the first pattern.....makes the stars "pop"!!
First one with colored centers.
The first one seems to catch my eye. The stars stand out and don't fall into the rest of the quilt.

I like the centers of the stars with colors!
i like the colored centers
OK, colored centers it is! :)
They are both great! The first one - the colored centers make the stars stand out a bit more. In the second one, with the cream centers, it is more serene and the secondary pattern of the double nine patch blocks can come out and play as well.
I'd have a hard time choosing between the two. Cheers, K |
Number one -- I like how the dark centers pop.

I like the first one for sure...it catches your eye immediately..:)
I like the first pattern the best. I think that there is more "depth" to it.
colored centers
I like colored star centers, gives my eye a place to center.
They are both great, but #1 is my fav. Although #2 leaves alot of room for quilting designs :)
I like the first one, more color.
I prefer the first, but both are lovely!
Both quilts look fantastic, but I am more drawn to the first one with color in the center of the stars!
I prefer bringing out the stars so the 1st one but both will be lovely.
I like the first one, too!
I like the second one.
I like the sublety of the 2nd one best!

What I do to figure things out before I start...

Been too many times that I though, "Oh, I have enough to do that." and didn't. I figure up exactly how to make it and exactly what fabric I need. I haven't done the stars yet to figure out cutting of the FQ set but EQ7 says it needs 2 1/4 yds of the colors for the stars with the colored center and the set has 10 FQs so that should be enough but can't be sure until I actually figure up how to cut them.
