For the local quilt guild challenge we were supposed to incorporate a traditional corn and beans pattern block. I decided to make a small quilt with one block of the pattern. The other ladies who participated all used subtle colors of brown (and some used some light blue) for background blocks with stunning applique pictures and/or borders. They were awesome!

I think it is beautifully done. Most small boys I know are not too keen on floral prints, but if he is discerning he may get past that.

It's very pretty - but not really boy prints. Too much floral.
