....the patchwork/quilting bug...???

Some people might remember I posted a picture of my grand-son starting a quilt not so long ago, well now it's finished, I did the finishing touches yesterday. He's very happy with the results and so am I :)
Justin chose the fabrics from my bits and pieces and I helped to coordinate them and he had so much fun also with the sewing part, he wants to start another one - this time a lap quilt for his Dad but "hush" it's a secret... :)

Well done Justin oh and of course Nanna lol It looks amazing and I am sure the one he makes for Dad will be just as good. Looks like you have another Ricky Timms in the making.

:thumbup::thumbup: Three thumbs up for Justin! How old is Justin? I love working with sewing projects with my grandson also.

Due to the shape/sizes of your blocks I can see that one done in Christmas fabrics. It would look like ornaments.

Barb_MO 11-04-2012 06:04 AM

Good job. I like the design.

Yes, I told him of all the positive remarks on QB and also this morning he took the quilt to church to show it and everyone told him how great it was and I think this is what made him want to start another one :)
Thanks for all your encouragement!!!

Sorry Linda, no Christmas fabric in this quilt :( Justin is 9 and I think eventually his sister will get onto quilting too, she's already made a little project, her own placemat, but she's still only 6 and you can't get her to sit and concentrate on something for too long but we will get there.... :)
