If you got to sew4less.com you can buy a copy of the user manual for $14.95

Just wondering what the feed dogs do when you turn the knob to "darn". Do they drop down? Like what you would want them to do for free motion quilting?

thats my guess

Contact the Brother corporation and they may have a copy of the manual. I did when I found a Brother Citiation and they sent me via email a copy of the instruction booklet. The darn knob looks to be the way to lower the feed dogs for FMQ and darning. Good luck.
