Oh I got it- it's an antique version of the toy that came out in the 70's called click clacks. You know the ones that were two glass balls on the end of strings that you swung back and forth faster and faster until you went from making great loud sounds to a final crash as the glass balls smashed to pieces flying every direction

Ok the scarf hanger is logical but my favorite is its a Quilters Ceremonial Good Luck Charm :thumbup:

I put this picture and link to the board on Facebook, and one of my friends said it looked like something she's seen that holds the pleats in draperies from the dry cleaner.
