I don't have a clue! But, I'm sure there is someone out there that can tell us just exactly what this is and what its used for.

Good luck with that one. I'll be watching to see if anyone knows.

Don't have a clue.

some kind of tie or belt holder?
I think it is a belt hanger for mens belts.
Interesting, but no clue.

Looks to me like what the dentist uses to match up your tooth color if you are having a bridge added to your teeth or a false tooth added?

Neat looking, whatever it is!
Looks like one of a kind......
Don't have a clue but sure would like to know. I doubt that I'll ever run across one though.
My guess would be some sort of fastener to use when you are braiding or tying or doing lacework of some sort. The metal hook goes around something to hold it in place and the pin/ball things hold the beginnings of your work/strings/threads/cords and you work out from there.
Just a guess. Really have no idea. |
Can you please show us a pic from another angle ... to get a better look at the dangly-thingy-me-bops!!!

Man...can't wait to find out what this is. I am loving all the answers so far.
Where did you get it?
Looks like a wind chime for your sewing machine Congrats on being the 1st one to have one :D
Where is crafty bear she always has good answers? I don't have a clue.
looks like a weight to me something you hang on knitting or crocheting to make it hang. also looks like a spark plug spacer checker thingy. do they tighten down the shaft towards the balls on the ends some kind of clip? Wild guess. but one things for sure I ain't got a clue.
Haven't a clue either!
??? Stumped
Haven't the foggyest, but does look like the shape of teeth
I think it is from a dentist office and they use it to find the color that matches your tooth.
I can't believe with all our collective experience and wisdom, NONE of us have seen one of these before. This is a good one!
I know, I know...it is a Thingamabob. My mother always talked about a thingamabob and now I know what she was talking about.

Silk scarf hanger. Note how smooth the two white balls are, no snagging or tearing the silk. There's a tension between the balls, holding the rolled edge of the silk in place. You can hang a dozen or more in a small space; no folds. The uppermost open ring hangs alongside your coat hangers in your closet. (just a factoid from my Manhattan days; where some apartments had the shower in the kitchen over the floor drain and the toilet in the closet. For real. ;0)
