I have enjoyed myself this afternoon making my block for the charity quilt that our group is going to raffle at our exhibition in October, (So yet again my other projects hit the back shelf lol!!) Helen, the lady with the exceptional embroidery talent has sketched flowers for us to applique, there will be 16 blocks in total :D

CissyQuilts 08-23-2008 09:05 AM

It looks great, Bev! That is one of my favorite blocks. :-)

I thought it was gonna be hard. I usually don't go by a pattern, but this was easy. (from Quilters Cache)

Doing ok..... Dr has me on Prescription Ibuprofen so that helps. I sure hope the Urologist calls me in this week. I'm tired of being scared. Its wearing me down.

marla 08-26-2008 12:36 PM

I like the tan and brown. You could do the sashing in chocolates. Or Pickup another color in the print. Dark Rust? It's your quilt, so you decide on your colors. Good job!!!!!!

marla 08-26-2008 12:39 PM

I am so sorry to hear of this. I wish you all the best and many pryers to you.

 They're looking great, Bev! May I make a suggestion? You might want to have a little more contrast in your dark red and dark blue blocks. If you use a lighter shade with the darks, it will stand out more. :-)
