I made a 45" square wallhanging for my PEO auction one year and the bidding only went to $10. I was so insulted, I sulked all evening and probably weeks afterwards, and swore I would never make another thing. It was a gorgeous 5 stars, on point with borders in fall colors. Still ticks me off.

I have no intentions of selling any of my work. It's strictly for fun. But, I say something like 'would you buy it, how much would you pay for it'?' Here is the kicker, they come back with something like "$25.00, 30.00" or something equally as stupid.
