CathyQuilts4 08-20-2010 06:08 AM

Beautiful What kind of emb. machine do you have? I have a Singer Futura 250 I haven't used it much. Not sure of myself.

Ms Grace 08-20-2010 06:09 AM

Very pretty! :D
I've seen those at our Dollar Tree.
Did you have to pre-wash the towel because of shrinkage before you did the embroidery?

rwquilts 08-20-2010 06:19 AM

Well, it's not a dollar towel now! It's beautiful! Do you need my address? LOL!

raptureready 08-20-2010 06:19 AM

tdgiffin 08-20-2010 06:24 AM

Thanks for all the compliments. I have a Babylock ellageo. No, I did not prewash.......maybe should have, but hopefully it will just be used to "look pretty."

Two thrifty thumbs up for this project. It is beautiful.

dsb38327 08-20-2010 07:34 AM

What a great way to practice, make something pretty and useable at a low cost. I have my friends Babylock. She wants me to learn how to use it then teach her. You have given me a great idea for low cost practice. I haven't practiced yet because I don't want to waste the $thread$ on scraps. Many thanks.

cattailsquilts 08-20-2010 07:43 AM

Ooooh, Perty! All the more reason to want a machine I don't need! :D

I am going to the Dollar Tree!!! Christmas presents are in the making at my house. My poor embroidery machine will fall out when it gets to go to work. Thanks so much for inspiration with you beautiful towels. Just looks at some yesterday with similar embroidery, they were $6.99 at outlet store.

Ditter43 08-20-2010 07:54 PM
