I went to Moline, Illinois, thursday--the 17th, and helped with cutting out pillowcases, and, christmas stocking's for the military. I brought home 40 pillowcases to sew up. Anyhow Denny Carstensen, and wife Sandi, and me,and 6 other ladies was there. We talked about(me & denny) at 1 time on Eygpt, and artifacts. Anyhow, he brought, a book(of eygpt), and 8 yrds, of eygpt print material. He gave me 2 yards of that print. The question I have for any & everyone is, what can I do with it. I hate to cut it up. I thought, of cutting it in 1/2, and sew the 2 peices together

Holy Cow!! It's beautiful!! You have so many color options in there. I have never seen anything like it. I would hate to cut it up. But, you must make something really awesome with the fabric.
Good luck! |
Awesome looking fabric, but don't have a clue for it, other than maybe a stack n whack, but you don't want to cut it. I'm sure someone will come up with an idea for you though.

That is so beautiful. I think I would either treat it like a panel & add coordinating borders, or use it as backing so you can enjoy the full effect of the fabric.

I wouldn't want to cut it either.

Beautiful fabric Don! If I cut it I would want it to be in large pieces. That's just my opinion. Not enough to do stack n whack. Oh will be anxious to see what you do with it.

Stunning border fabric!

It is, indeed, a gorgeous fabric. When looking at the full piece laid out, the repeats of the pattern rather stick out. I would probably fussy cut those and use them in a quilt that looks like looking through windows [can't think of the name of that pattern].

I would leave it as a whole panel and add small blocks around the border of coordinating fabrics. It is very pretty. Did he say how much that fabric cost from there?
|
I'd have to use it as a panel , then really nice borders to set it off. Beautiful fabric!
