Wow, beautiful - I have a few hankies but not enough to make an entire quilt. This quilt makes me want to rush out and go buy some just to make a hankie quilt.
Your quilt is beautiful. I saw a quilt at Houston Quilt Show similar to that. You could also make a pillow with a hanky if you only have 1 or 2.
OH MY GOSH!! This is Beautiful! Both the quilting and the design. I have quite a few hankies and thought of doing a butterfly quilt with them, but I think I Like this so much more. Thanks for showing us.
I am in awe. I have a whole box of my grandmothers hankies. You did such a beautiful job. How much do you charge for a twin size quilt?
If you send me your email address, I will be happy to forward my price list. thanks

I've been saving hankies since I was 9 to do a quilt like this. i don't have nearly enough though. :-) It's beautiful.
You did a super job with the quilting.
awesome quilting! great job to both of you
I have a stack of hankies that belonged to my grandmother. Thanks for the idea on what to do with them.
Beautiful work both on the top and on the quilting! This is gorgeous.
Wow! is right, absolutely gorgeous. I have been saving hankies as well, in pinks, blues, pastel greens, mauve's/lilacs etc to make a hanker chief quilt since I read a piece in one of our magazines awhile back. No pictures with the article so am pleased to see this as it really pulls it all together for me.
Now to collect some more nice hankies, the ones around here are rather staid to say the least, maybe when I go on vacation next I will find a few more? Maybey1day |
Beautiful work :!:
That is stunning. What a great idea.
Thank you so much for showing this! It is inspiration! My grandmas' hankies (2 grandmas) are still in a box in my sewing room waiting for their turn to be a quilt.
How nice!!
This takes my breath away it's so gorgeous. Such intricate work.

For my 40th birthday everyone had to 'gift' me forty of something. I still have the bag of marbles, etc, but my mother gave me forty hankies. I'm much older now and they were pretty vintage then. I'll have to look at them again.
Looks like a terrific project. |
Lovely quilt, but it's the quilting that stands out.Your work is amazing....what a talent you have.
Simply lovely!
I love the arrangement of this handkerchiefs on point. I have a collection stored away from my teen years--think this is the idea I needed to see what I can do with them. Love your quilt.
What a beautiful quilt. I love it.
I knew I saved all my hankies for some reason. Oh if only I can come anywhere close to creating something as beautiful. I'm sure going to give it a try. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful quilt. It is an inspiration for the hankies I have collected over the years... Thanks for sharing.
There are several books on making quilts with hankies and I am taking a class from Cindy Brick at Road to CA on using hankies in quilts. I can hardly wait. I have quite a few.
Beautiful, just beautiful!!! Love it!!
