I have never posted a picture on this site of a quilt that I have quilted so just wanted to try to do so. This Texas Lonestar quilt top is pieced with double knit fabrics. The piecer had passed away severl years prior to her daughter bringing the top to me. I just could not say "no". Now I am very glad that I quilted it for her. I think it quilted up very nice and the daughter is thrilled to have the keepsake.

Many years ago I made a lone star out of double knits in red, white and blue. At the time I didn't know how to finish it off once I got the star done. I don't know what ever happened to it but I have thought about it many times...That one is beautiful! I am so glad she knew how to finish it and now it is a beautifully quilted treasure! :D

Beautiful. Back in the day when double knit was so prevalent, I made a lot of garments from it and saved the scraps for my mom. She loved working with and as a result I have a couple of quilts that she made from the scraps I gave her.
|
Wonderful job. I can't imagine making a diamond out of double knit.
