Easiest quilt to make but I notice I still turned one black the wrong way.

Love your quilt! It's beautiful! Shhhhh! No one needs to know!

Very pretty quilt, soft and feminine.
That is just adorable!!! I love it.
That is a lovely quilt! Looks so great on the bed too! Nicely done! (Looks like the owner of the quilt likes bears.)
Pretty quilt and only the shadow knows!
Very pretty quilt and I can't see a block turned wrong. Did you use a layer cake to make it?
Thank you all for your kind comments. Sandy, I used a fat quarter because I like to wash all my fabrics as soon as I get them home. I have allergies and washing helps a lot.
Sweet quilt. don't tell anyone else of your error, I doubt they'll see it.
It's beautiful and since we can't tell a block is turned wrong, it is pretty safe to assume "the general public" isn't going to have any idea. I'm sure she's thrilled with it!
How cute! You and your higher power are the only ones that know the error! Love the colors!
Love the colors and fabric. It reminds me of the Cottage Romance quilt I have fallen in love with. Still gathering the fabric to make it. Your quilt makes my heart sing, so very pretty.
Beautiful..I don't see anything wrong.
Looks great!
Very pretty refreshing-looking quilt. If you didn't tell, I wouldn't know.
What does double slice mean? Is it similar to the DNP? How do you do it?
Thank you. |
Hi Z. The double slice layer cake is a great quilt for beginners like me. It is made with a layer cake except that since I wash all my fabrics, I used a FQ and cut my own ten inch squares. This is a link to the video I followed. The hardest part is laying out the blocks in a pleasing way and making sure they are turned correctly.

I can't tell! the colors are lovely! Very nice quilt!
Yours turned out lovely! Did you quilt it yourself?
Great looking quilt for a young girl. I'm sure the turned block is only noticable to your eyes.
Hi Thimblebug. Thank you for your kind comment. I had it quilted by Jacquie Cotton ( I think you know her). She did a lovely job in a nice leaf pattern. The quilt was far too heavy for me to handle at my tender young age. I am doing some FMQ now and have quilted some lap quilts - just not ready for the big stuff yet.
My DGD would love that quilt & the teddies ...it is lovely jj
Very pretty "girly" quilt. No one will ever know that 1 block is placed wrong. I can't even spot it. Thanks for sharing.
Love your quilt. Colors are great.
Very pretty!
Love the quilt does the pattern have a name? Don't know about some of u but when I c a quilt I like its usually the fabric that pulls me in to it, but never can find the fabric that person used..
When a pattern works up to look this random and this good, a turned block is not noticeable.
A very happy quilt. peace |
Beautiful in such lovely colors!
I've done this pattern a couple of times and just love it. So easy and yet always turns out so beautifully. Your colors are so nice.
