Very lovely. Many years ago I made one and hand quilted it, now my problem, I have 4 grown children, and ONE hand quilted quilt :)

I would love to have a DWR. I think I might could piece it but I hate cutting patterns out especially this one.

mimiof4 03-03-2015 04:17 PM

I love it very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful. I'm getting ready to start one. Thanks for the you tube reference. I am going to use the AccuQuilt Go to cut my pieces. I'm nervous... but I'm going for it!

Your quilt reminds me of a wedding present my husband's grandmother made for us in 1969. Even the colors are much the same. This quilt is on my bucket list as well. It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

I will hopefully be getting the backing fabric next week so I can get on with the next step. I actually loved doing this quilt and will be doing more in the future.

Beautiful job. I love your choice of colors. I've not gotten up the courage to do one yet.

Conartist1945 03-04-2015 01:36 AM

It's beautiful and your fabrics are great!

I watched the YouTube - Ebony Love -"how to video" a- even if one does not have the die for this pattern I think her demo is spot on....she explains the whole piecing process so very clearly......waiting for a "sale" at accuquilt so I can order that one!

Geri B, your comment about Ebony Love's "how to video" is spot on. Years ago when I made my first DWR, the corner stones did not meet correctly. I had no problem with them matching using Ebony's directions.

Beautiful quilt in the reproduction fabrics!

One pretty quilt and how nice that he requested it. A wonderful tribute to his request.

He loves that I quilt and encourages me to do so everyday. I like it when he requests a certain type of quilt and enjoy making it for him.
