Double Wedding Ring Quilt - top done!
1 Attachment(s)
Well ladies and gentlemen, I have to say, I have impressed even myself!!!
I have finished the top - it's not ironed, but I'm so happy with how it turned out that I have to show it off! I have just emailed my friend recommending a border of the burgundy fabric to tie it all together, and waiting to see what she says! Thanks for looking, Marion |
Very nice!! So many little pieces in each ring. Love the colors.
Beautiful! Love the black/burgundy centers to the arcs, burgundy is a perfect border color. good job!
nicely done, very pretty fabrics
whose pattern did you use?.....its great.....
I used the one from mccall's. It was free
thx all |
You have done a fine job. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt, also.

Lovely...on my bucket list!
Double Wedding Ring is one of my favorite patterns. Nice job! I hope you'll post a photo of the finished project.
Going to be beautiful, love the colors.
A maroon border would be beautiful. Or perhaps a narrow maroon border with a wider print of the "peachy" fabric.
That turned out great. Love it.
Beautiful! That pop of pink really keeps the eye moving around the quilt
Congrats on getting this difficult quilt finished!
Very Nice! I'd add a narrow white border first, to float the rings, then the burgundy border and burgundy binding. You should be very proud of it! What size is it? What is the size of an individual block?
So I went with the burgundy border. She didn't wNt more white lol. It measures 56x56 inches
thanks all. I learned some new things with this quilt, which helps me with me New Years resolution: harder quilts lol |
You did a wonderful job, it's lovely. BrendaK
Yes, burgundy will make it pop. I love it!
Marion, congrats on your first DWR...it looks wonderful.
Looks great, I keep thinking about one of these but haven't done it yet! Can't wait to see the border you use.
It's great and I think the burgundy border will go very well, especially if it is the same fabric as in the dark squares.
Great job! I love the color combinations. You can be very proud of this. Let us see it when it is finished.
Awesome! I like the idea of burgandy for the border.
Very pretty!
WOW......great job. I have yet to work up the nerve. Would you do another? or was it a never again project? LOL
I would do another one!! Once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Lol. Painstaking but easy.
I did mine in sections. I needed 48 arcs so I did all 48 at once. Then I joined them all to the ovals. The first two are always slower, but then you get the hang of it and then you're just flying through them. It takes longer to pin everything then it does to sew it lol |
I guess you have it done, but here's my opinion anyway.
I would have put a very narrow burgundy border, a same size white border and then a large border of either burgundy or your print if you had enough. |
Awesome quilt, just love this pattern. On my list also, was it very hard to do? Thanks for sharing. Mary

I love seeing these! One day, I will have the time and the nerve to accomplish this. You should be pleased! I would love to see it when completed!
