Too pretty to use as a pot holder. I really like this and may have to play with this to get another look. I think a block made with two of the tail pieces and the other two with the opening larger would make a nice lap quilt. I'll go buy the pattern and see if I can work that out.

Tartan did you starch before you began as it looks stiff. I would wash fabric first and the try. I love twiddling and fiddling and it is much easier if the fabric will roll. I starch when it is done, I have also started using elmers glue to hold done before sewing. They do go flatter this way.
Love the pattern must find one.

Is this technique based on 10 minute and 5 minute block? Can't remember author of books......what is size of the block.
