Dragonfly Garden is the official title of this pattern, but by the end, I had renamed it: "My-love-hate relationship with 1/4' bias tape. Actually when I finally got to sewing the binding with a double needle, it turned back into a love affair.
A fair sized piece, all fabric was fused to fusible web, cut out, and then placed on a muslin backing, and finally the bias tape was afixed. More batiks. Just love them, can't get enough lately. Made this right after I did Wildflower Garden. |

I agree with all the comments, it is absolutely stunning. I love it. I'm sure it would make me nuts to do it. I like instant gratification. That would take too long for me to do.

Yes, Janice4, but not traditional applique - fused with fusible web to a muslin background and then the 1/4" bias tape is sewn down over the seams. The pattern was from Three Swans Studios and had instructions for using fusible web and hand applique www.threeswans.com
