I lived on a lake in Northern Canada for 10 yrs and the loons woke us up very early!
There is a pp loon pattern in A quilters Ark by Margaret Rolfe.
I could send this if you want.

Gale,
Now that you mention it, I have the Quilter's Ark book and I bought it for the Loon pattern. Too many ideas, too little time. Sigh...

Our cottage is on a lake in Canada - Southern Ontario near Perth. I love waking up or falling asleep to the loon calls.

Marnie, It beautiful - wonderful job, and I love to PP also. How in the world did you keep this from your husband? My husband comes into my sewing room so it would be hard to surprise him, or my children. Sarah in CA

WOW, What a fantastic job you did on the Duck quilt. I'm sure your husband was very happy to recieve this from you with all the effort put fourth into it. Its a very good looking lake/woodsy quilt. My whole house is filled with quilts and home decor of this sort. We live on a lake so I am always looking for somthing new to make. Do you know where I can find the book for this quilt? Here are some pictures of ducks that I made. These are the Minnesota Mallards, I made them as trivets, but yet to make the entire quilt.
