Beautiful! One could study this quilt for a long time and find something new everytime.

I think this is an exquisite quilt. There is so much to look at and enjoy in this quilt. I really like the sampler idea with your quilting. The Dresdens just add an element of excitement.

Very pretty charisma,

Couple questions:
1. What batting did you use?
2. What thread weight did you use?
3. Did you plan out each block ahead of time, or did you just wing it on every block?
4. Did you decide on the designs such that each "angular" block was next to "circular" blocks?

:) I am growing my skills in long arming myself, and looking to see how others get to the finished product :) Thanks!

Hi Carolyn,
Thank you. :)
1. I used 2 layers. 1 layer of legacy 80/20 and a top layer of hobbs polydown
2. I used metro embroidery thread. I like the sheen it has.
3. I just winged it as I went along. No planning
4. I didn't plan anything ahead of time. except where the dresdens went.

I hope that helps. :)

This is so beautiful, as always. Will you be at NW Quilt Expo in Portland next month? I hope to see you there.

Hi Dunster, No I won't be at that show. I am going to our local show next month and then the Spokane show in October. :)
