DWR String quilt

2 Attachment(s)
This is one of those quilts that is wasn't meant to be. I started out with a plan for a totally different quilt. My planned failed. My string blocks were already pieced so I had to come up with a new plan. The new planned worked! I still need to machine stitch the all the applique, which is the entire quilt.

Great quilt. The best laid plans can go awry but then something better happened.

That is so very cute. Wonder if you could sandwich and then machine quilt the appliqué. That would quilt it, too. Two birds.

GingerK 02-27-2015 07:49 PM

This is one of those beautiful times when throwing everything into the pot and giving it a good stir, has ended up with something that is more than its parts. WOW!

zozee 02-27-2015 07:55 PM

What a happy accident with happy colors! Love the pale yellow background.
