Yarn or Fabric 12-30-2010 07:40 PM

I don't think that's the right one. It's just appliqued on and this one is pieced I believe. So close too :(

I got a lead on it though - Quilter's world Magazine. December 2008. Vol. 30 No.6 and that it's called Christmas Tree Gifts. I still can't find it online though!

Love this! So cute...think I'll be making this as gifts next year!

That is so cute. Is there a link to the pattern that you can share?

One additional comment, there are enough buttons on the quilt it would make a great Advent calendar for children. You could make handmade ornaments or purchase small ornaments to hang on the buttons. Adding a pocket on the bottom or back of the quilt would be an ideal way to store the ornaments. I think I'm going to have to make several of these for next year! Thanks for sharing your quilt!

Green fabric for the tree rather than gifts, an extra bottom row just like the first row for the trunk, and the inside border looks wider.

I have been trying to find the link for all of you and I couldn't get it either but this is it. I made some changes, putting a trunk on it and making it out of all greens made it look more like a tree to me. I'm making another one with red buttons for ornaments for my grandson. Thank you all for your kind words. and thank you for finding it. Judi

What am I doing wrong? It takes me three hours to get ready to sew and select my fabric!
