Elementary school fundraiser quilt
1 Attachment(s)
The third grade students at Oakbrook Elementary School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, colored quilt blocks with designs that represent South Carolina for a quilt to be auctioned to raise funds for their school. I assembled the blocks, quilted with a simple loop meander, and bound the quilt for them. I just learned today that the quilt was sold at the auction for $1,600.00. This was not due to my sewing or quilting skills, but because parents will pay almost anything for their children's work.
