Well on Tuesday I had the wonderful task of presenting the most beautiful quilt to my friend Elle at our quilting Guild on behalf of a few our her friends here on the board who very kindly made blocks and Patti put it all together and did the most wonderful quilting which has made this a very special keepsake of Elle and Colin's forthcoming wedding.

I am going to post them one at a time to keep them in order :lol:

Now Elle is reading the beautiful embroidered label to find out just who has made this fantastic gift for them....

Elle was totally overawed by the wonderful work everyone has done, especially Patti who did all the embroidery & quilting...... :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Here we both are holding it up so everyone can see it in its full glory!!

This beauty got hung up in pride of place for the rest of the class to admire it close up and take LOTS of pictures to show everyone!!

AND I made sure I got lots of close ups so everyone can see the fantastic work that has gone into this quilt, especially Patti...did I tell you PATTI did such a GREAT job??? did I already???? :lol:

Great pics you took there, I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face after seeing Elle's expression.
I'm so pleased she loved it & yes you are right Patti has done a marvelous job with all her embroidery & quilting.

Now we need you to keep the camera out ready for the wedding. :lol:

Hi Tisha, I am very well thanks, and lapping up every minute this morning I can spend on the board catching up just a little...it will take me months in the autumn to catch up on all the topices tee hee!!

Just hope I have captured enough of the detail to let everyone see how super it really is, the colours are more vibrant in real life too!! :D

Tears are flowing here in France too! Oh, I love the one of Elle's face 'bubbling up'! I'm starting again, typing that! I'm so glad she liked it and a big hug to Patti for organising this and doing the lion's share of the work, and to Izy for presenting it and taking such wonderful pics AS ALWAYS! Great to have you around Izy! :D

the expression on Elle's face is priceless. So glad you posted pictures of each block. Everyone who worked on it did a fantastic job and I know it will be treasured forever!

GOSH you lot have got me all going again, (running to fetch some paper hankies).

You just see what you all did to me, it was so emotional and such a wonderful surprise.

I posted on the new section in Home Page called Announcements and then found out it didn´t post on here, so there are pics on that for you all.

We love it and Colin is putting up a pole right this minute to hang it up, but he can´t yet as I have told him I have to show it off to everyone and the LQS they will go bananas like I did.

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting to be tearing over another post but I just can't help it. Such a beautiful gesture which makes the quilt even more cherishable.

You are all very blessed to be part of such a loving group of girlfriends. You must all feel over the moon right now.

Oh Patti did the most perfect job on the quilt, I must ask her what machine she has as the embroidery is beautiful too.
