I made this for my grandson, he will turn 4 May 30. The quilting is not the best,but I tried.

Your grandson will LOVE it beyond measure until it disintegrates. The quilt police don't enlist 4 year olds (gosh I hope not), so a few wonky stitches won't matter. I treasure everything from my beloved Grandmother, may God have mercy on her and bless her.
