I wish I lived near you, I'd invite myself on over for some lessons. (I'd bring you cookies...oh wait, those aren't good for you...okay, I'd bring you some skeins of thread...)You do beautiful work!!

They are adorable. When my grandson was three, I made the mistake and made his a raggedy Andy. He took one look at it and through it down. Needless to say, my heart was broken, and so was Andy's. Andy now has a permenant home in our guest room where he is very happy with other friends. No raggedy Ann cause she went to my grandaughter who loves her to bits

Very cute!

My MIL has a Raggedy Ann room at her house, too. One year for Christmas we bought a Raggedy Ann coloring book and had each grandkid color a page. We framed those and added to her collection. I'll bet those two cute great-nieces of yours would love to help you out with that!

They ARE Raggedy Ann, I was right! Sorry, I put that on your other thread then corrected myself. Ignore me, it's my age, or the phase of the moon or maybe the fact I couldn't sleep last night!

Anyway, your embroidery is adorable - I LOVE it! :-D

Adorable, I love your work, Jerrie!

mommabogue 12-10-2009 01:58 PM

too cute!! I too love to embroider.. among quilting and other things.. I will have to post my crazy quilt that I made several yrs ago.. I did an emroidered stitch on every seam.. its gorgeous.. I just have to figure out how to do the picture thing and post. I've just recently figured out how to post/send messages.. working on pc skills. This group is so inspiring and the pictures I just live for to see daily. Just need to make the time to "quilt" instead of just looking. LOL

quiltedmermaid 12-10-2009 06:57 PM

I love your Raggedy Ann and Andy! They remind me of my childhood because my grandma made the dolls for me. Wish I still had them.

Jeannie 12-12-2009 12:33 PM

precious!

lots2do 12-12-2009 12:39 PM

Very nice work!
If you google Bare Roots, you'll find a great site with patterns for embroidery. I have a cabin-themed wall hanging UFO that's almost made with one of her patterns.
Nice to see that people are still embroidering by hand.
