That is awesome! My kids would love searching for all of those hidden treasures!
|
I love this! I don't even notice any crooked seams. (I'm a pre-beginner, so take that for what it's worth. LOL) I love that the star is all light fabrics, but different, rather than just using the same fabric for the entire star. This is really special, and you should be very proud.
|
I am learning too but would not have the confidence that you had to do this quilt. Wonderful job...Keep up the good work!
|
That's very impressive! Love the tags on the pix labeling where the fabrics are from.
|
Wow!! The white makes it all pop.
Great job!!  |
Great Quilt!

Very pretty.

That is so very beautiful.

Wow! This is a great way to change the other stars. This is a keeper. Marvel
|
very beautiful! That don't look like beginner to me!
|
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
|
That is a quilt to be very proud of!! Good for you!!
I'll let you in on a secret, ALL of us find flaws in our own work. Don't be too self critical. You are doing excellent fussy cutting as well. I think I would put in a narrow white border followed by a wider one, either more scraps, or one of blue or green. |
I love stars..You did a great job:):)
|
Blue for the 1st border is what this quilt says to me, then the green. IMHO Fantastic quilt and great job.

Whether you designed it or not, you recognized it as what you wanted to do and put a lot of good work into it.

[quote=KSCrafter]I'm still a beginner but thought I'd show my Exploding Star quilt to you anyway. It was done on a machine that's probably as old as I am- while I either had one eye on the TV or was helping my daughter with homework. And that's my excuse for all the crooked seams! :-)
Some of the fabrics were from my aunt and grandmother's stash. I remember Granny wearing blouses out of some of these! Good thing I have more of these crazy fabrics left to make another quilt because I learned alot doing this one! quote] wow awesome pattern... that is great.... did you make up the design yourself?... I also have a bunch of those old time fabs... lol... fun |
Very impressive!
