Well I did let her pick the colors and she is only 15 - but what happens when she looks back on it in 10 years??????

cattailsquilts 03-22-2011 09:33 AM

I like it! Bright & cheerful, though I can see how it might be a bit hard to work on at close range.

Nice job! :)

That's when you get some tan dye and take the edge off it. LOL

Actually, I think it's very pretty just the way it is.

bjeriann 03-22-2011 09:46 AM

I think it great, so bright and cheerful.

looks great nice bright colors

quilterella 03-22-2011 09:49 AM

She'll say Mom made it just like I wanted because she loves me. It is a very colourful and cheery quilt.

belmer 03-22-2011 09:53 AM

Very bright and cheerful!

redturtle 03-22-2011 10:09 AM

well i guess she could flip to the backing side...or is it just as colorful?

its very bright...the pattern fits it perfectly...

are your eyes permanently crossed now...lol

good job!

Ramona Byrd 03-22-2011 10:20 AM

I"m 77 and I love it. She will either be ready to hide it under a bed spread, or she will put it on the sofa and brag about it. Don't worry about it, she will always know it was HER idea, and that you made it with love. It'll wind up as an heirloom.

Rose L 03-22-2011 10:30 AM

Modern, colorful, abstract! If she likes it now she will still like in 10-20-30 years from now. People usually choose their style when they are very young, in my experience.

Nice work!

charmpacksplus 03-22-2011 10:33 AM

I love it! It looks very much like what I would have picked out back in the 70's when I was 15.... Peace signs and bright colors!

lallyann 03-22-2011 10:43 AM

In 10 years she will still love it! That's what I am thinking! Its very pretty, bright, and cheerful :)

I really like it as well. She has a good eye for color.

MaryAlice2 03-22-2011 11:17 AM

Retro! Cool.

lovingmama 03-22-2011 11:43 AM

Very nice! She still will love in ten years, because you made it for her.

emerald46 03-22-2011 12:55 PM

Love it! DD will love it always. She may look at it later and laugh but she will always remember "Mom made the way I wanted". That's the best part.

boohoofish 03-22-2011 12:58 PM

She will always remember it!

Crlyn 03-22-2011 12:59 PM

I think when she looks back in 10 years she will still love it, it's lovely!

Jo M 03-22-2011 01:03 PM

I love how you quilted the daisy pattern around the circles. It's great.

Izaquilter 03-22-2011 02:11 PM

She will think just as we do when we look at something someone was nice enough to do or give up. That is what makes great memories... She will say "I remember when Mom made this for me..." She will love it 20 yrs from now! Looks great

debcavan 03-22-2011 02:13 PM

She got to help and you did a wonderful job making her choices look fabulous.

Ditter43 03-22-2011 02:13 PM

I agree with the others...I like it! Bright and cheerful! Hopefully she will still like it in 10 years! :D

Well she will love it even more!

mtnative 03-22-2011 03:02 PM

I like how bright it is.

snicker dee 03-22-2011 11:11 PM

I always let my grandkids and kids pick their colors. The oldest DGD picked pink kitties when she was 4 or 5. Then at 12 or 13 it was aqua and brown. Recently she asked me if I would like to make her another quilt to watch TV with ... this one is purple and aqua. She has a long way to go as she is only 15. But I love doing the quilts. In fact all 4 of the DGDs love picking out their different colors

fabric_lover 03-23-2011 05:55 AM

She'll still love it. looks pretty, bright and happy.

Lady Jane 03-23-2011 06:10 AM

She will still love it, cause you made it for her.

#1piecemaker 03-23-2011 06:21 AM

Kids like bright!! And that is bright. Actually it kinda grows on you the more you look at it. I think you did a great job. But, more important is if your daughter liked it.

karenm36 03-23-2011 06:22 AM

She'll still be treasuring it because she treasures YOU! Actually it's really pretty and I love the pattern!

Homespun 03-23-2011 06:23 AM

She will always cherish it.

Ritzquilts 03-23-2011 06:25 AM

She will love it forever, after all she picked out the fabric..lol...It is really pretty now and will be forever
