What pretty flowers. I love the pink.

Gives me an idea. I have a king size bed skirt with matching shams that I bought at the Rescue Mission Thrift Store a few years ago. I didn't have a king size bed, but knew there would be a use for it someday.

Thanks for posting.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who does this :) I even like to look at the children's clothes at goodwill because often times they have 100% cotton clothing with just precious designs on them! Great for fat quarters!!

Great idea to check out children's clothing and create fat quarters - I had not thought of that. Thanks.

you should get a lot of fabric from the bed skirt and shams once you cut it off the white top of the skirt. Not long ago you posted a photo of a polyester quilt I think you said your mom made. Well, recently I visited a quilting friend and her husband brought out a polyester quilt she had made for him many, many years ago and it looks much like the one your mom made. He uses it still and is very proud of that quilt. Now she can afford any fabric she wants, but way back when she used what she had. It really doesn't matter what a quilt is made from when the one that receives it loves it.

The fabric is lovely. It's a great way of being able to keep quilting in these hard times. I always look around in the charity shops and I have started to look for pure wool sweaters to buy, usually £2-£3 and undo them as I want to crochet some blankets at some point. You get a lot of wool and all you have to do is a gentle wash and rewind.

Nice find! I was wondering if you ever used glazed cotton decorator samples. I found some very pretty ones that I would like to use for the center of medallion quilts. I was wondering how the glazing washed.
