fabric find
#1
I read some of the post saying you could not afford to buy fabric and some others said to check the thrift shops, garage sales and etc. I had posted photos in the past of 100% cotton drapes and bed skirt that I found on sale at JC Penney's for next to nothing and I always check the thrift shops and garage sales as well as going to the fabric stores.
Friday I stopped by a near by church thrift shop and found a new twin size bedskirt (from Neiman Marcus) for $4.00. I cut the skirt off the white cotton top and I end up with 2x144 inch x 18 in. and 1x 84 in. x 18 in. Now that is a lot of fabric for $4.00.

I am going to cut 1/4 in. on each side of the dark pink stripe and then sub cut into squares. I will fussy cut the flowers into squares. Other colors in the fabric are green and gold which I will use as well. As I was ironing the fabric I was thinking of ways to use it.

As you can see it is 100 percent cotton, 250 thread count. Very nice fabric.
