I went to Hancock Fabrics (04/15/2011) to pick up some spray starch that was on sale. I went looking around the store like I always do, when I came to the Value Fabrics bins at the back of the store. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT PINK FABRIC IN THE 15 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN SEWING :!: :!: :!: Not even pink fabric for my niece or her barbie dolls. I am a natural red head, and I was told that pink clashes with my hair. :lol: :lol: I found this pink tie died looking fabric for $1.95 a yard. Above the table was a $1.00 off per yard sign. Now the fabric is only .95 cents per yard :!: I had printed off a coupon that was sent to me via email. "Save 10% off everything". It included regular priced and sale priced. The coupon was good from 04/13/2011 to 04/15/2011. I also got my starch for $1.34 per bottle, instead of $1.99. Yesterday was my LUCKY DAY!!!

FINAL COST OF FABRIC: .86 CENTS PER YARD..... :thumbup:

The fabric feels like a good quality. I have no idea what I will make with it. I JUST LOVED THE DESIGN AND PATTERN...

Great deal. I'm a redhead and I've always loved pink. Funny how things go. Blue has never been one of my favorite colors but now I just love blue quilts. So you've decided you like pink and I've decided I like blue. LOL

I am a fiend at collecting fabrics that are on sale. I always buy them up at 7 yards each time, just in case I might want to use them as quilt backings, or for blocks. That is gorgeous fabric and would look awesome on a stained glass quilt (I have a one-track mind).

So I work at a Hancock Fabrics. Have never seen any starch for that cheap. Good for you!

As far as the fabric goes, I have never seen one like that! I do know that the batiks that they carry are nice though. I have bought them and they wash up well and have a nice weight to them.

I just luv bargains! I think it's a batik, my first thought is a blk & white quilt with hot pink! Maybe a disappearing 9 patch use the pink as the center sq???? I made a black and white and used bright green as a center square and it looks pretty cool Have fun!

I am sorry you have spent all these years living without pink. I have always thought that a whisper soft shell pink is a redhead's most beautiful color to wear. It looks great with your skin coloring. My big sis is a natural redhead and I buy her that color in sweatshirts all the time. She loves it.

That's a good color and pattern. You'll come up with something good I'm sure and will love quilting it because the whole time your are going to be thinking---"It only cost 86 cents a yard""oh boy, oh boy"!!!!!!!
