Is there a tutorial for how to make fabric postcards anywhere? I would love to learn. Yours are so creative!! I love them! I know they would bring a smile to my face if I rec'd one!!

Those are very nice. Love the little brother on top of the car. I have heard of these are they actually mailed in the USPS or sent in an envelope? I know it's a stupid question but what can I say I am blonde. - Never mind I just started reading what everybody else wrote and I see an answer. Thanks

Thanks all for the wonderful compliments. A couple of sites that have tutorials for these have been posted. They are great sites, pick out the sections that you feel work well for you. Check out the available tutes and send me a pm if you still have specific questions on how I do them.

Mailing: I took my first one that I wanted to mail to my local PO and asked what the postage would be. Obviously I am the first person to ever mail a fabric postcard here. The postage is the current first class letter rate plus the extra fee for non machining cancelation of 20 cents. Current that is 64 cents for me to mail my cards. And they just happen to have 64 cent stamps.

I've always wanted to make one. Yours are very neat. Where do you get ideas? Any suggestions to get me started?

Well, first, decide on the occasion. Let's say, Halloween...you can use a fall fabric for background and stitch out the words "Happy Halloween" or "Happy Fright Night" or you could fussy cut from a halloween print with wonder under fused to it and straight stitch the edges to your background piece.

For a birthday, think about the person having the birthday, what do they like, do they have a sense of humor, do you have an old photo of them that you could add words to.
