Have you checked out to books with these fairies iu them. "flower Fairies" by Cicely Mary Baker. and 'The girls Book of Flower Fairies". I bought them really reasonably for Amazon. My DGDs loves the "Girls Book" and is planing a fairy tea party from it. It is beautiful book based on the CMB Flower Fairy drawings. It gives great info about where fairy live, how to make fairy crafts, houses, gardens, food, games and of course how to pick YOUR fairy name. My 9yr DGD loves the book and it has already been dogged eared from her using it. the tea party is schedules for June 21 at 1200Pm. this is when fairies come out so maybe we will see some! They also come out at daybreak, twilight and 1200am on mid-summer nights( june 21-24) so be watching!!!!! Always believe in Fairies!!!! |

A folow up on the fairy quilts. My DGDs has a Fairy Tea party today 6/21 (mid-summer day) at 12:00pm. The party was just darling and based on ideas from the "Girls book of Flower fairies". We had lemonaide served in tea cups, fresh fruit, turkey sandwiched in the shape of butterflies, muffins and cupcakes for desert. The game was "Musical flowers" using paper flowers that we made. The crafts was a fairy necklace made from fabric and a flower crown made from tissue paper glued on cardboard. There were just 7 little girls ages 9-5 yrs. they were dressed up in dresses and looked really cute with the flower crowns and the necklaces dancing in the yard for musical flower game. I am so happy thast it turned out so well. My DDG and my DG did a great job and a fun time was had by all. I am sure the fairies loved the celebration. I think that I did see one peeking out from a flower on the table.(of course my camera batter was dead but my daughter got lots of pics) . Favors were a fairy poem and a small fairy. My DGD hung the quilts on the deck railing as part of the decorations.

Thank you so much for the pictures and information. I too want to make quilts for my twin GD's.

I especially like the blue one (that being my favorite color of course!) I don't believe we can ever have too many fairies in our lives or those of our children.
