Fairy Quilts for my DGDs
 

Here are pictures of the fairy quilts that I made my DGDs. They are made from panels of fairy fabric by Micheal Miller based on " The Flower Fairies"by Cicely Mary Baker who published a book of drawings of fairies for each flower and also poems about them. I got her book and also one called " the Girls Guide to Flower Fairies" on Amazon (Cheap) The girls have made a fairy garden based on ideas from the "girls quide book". and are planning a fairy tea party. Oh course I had to make them fairy quilts to help them dream of fairies! Thanks for looking.

They are both gorgeous. I have read other post about there GD's being to old, well I am lets just say a little over the hill. LOL. And I would love the have one in blue, my favorite color. Yes you just have to keep the little kid alive inside. I would love to see your DGD's face when they recieved them. Wonderful quilts. :thumbup:

Beautiful quilts. I made my first GD a periwinkle flower fairy pinwheel / log cabin quilt and literally was picking through the trash for scraps. When she had a sister, I made my 2nd granddaughter the ABC flower fairy. Now that beautiful fabric is finished being printed. Happy to see you got the panels and made some pretty quilts with it. Sure wish it would print again.

Micheal Miller fabrics as this line with the panels, and "fairy frost". Fairy frost is a pretty muted line of colors with silver thru it. I get it at a LQS. I used it for the coral and peach in the rose fairy quilt and also the bright pink. It is very nice fabric.

I gave the quilts to my DGDs today and they loved them! Of course we had to go thru the "Flowrer Fairy" book and find the pics of the fairies. MY 9yd DGD even took hers on a sleepover tonight.

They are just gorgeous.....hopefully we'll see some little girls in our family some day....We have been overwhelmed by boys (and they are not reproducing any time soon:)). Give us a break from vehicles, dinosaurs and creepy-crawlies.
