OK....I took my twister class yesterday and LOVED it. You use a special ruler and it is just so fun and easy. I got a pattern for the Christmas Wreath Wallhanging and it's so easy, I'm going to make a BUNCH for gifts!!! People will think that I actually know what I'm doing...LOL :D

OK: Lots of people were wondering where to get the twister ruler and pattern. The ruler is available at several places on line but the pattern is brand new. I got both at my LQS here:

Just send an email or whatever and Michelle or Karla will get back to you. Tell them Gail sent you :D

Here's a pic of the wallhanging

I really like that - what a wonderful gift that will be!

Qbee 09-17-2010 10:51 PM

OMGosh.....I need to clarify a couple of things. I took the class and bought the pattern but haven't finished my first one yet. The picture is the one my teacher made..I am NO where near that good! Also, several folks have asked what size ruler you use. This pattern calls for the small ruler. The pattern was actually created by a local lady and my LQS helped her get it patented, etc. and is selling them for her :D Thanks and I hope you all have fun making them too.

franie 09-18-2010 08:55 AM

Oh I like that wreath. My mind is going a hundred miles an hr now. Guess I might have to get the rulers.

quilter2 09-18-2010 09:58 AM

I love the wreath, I just emailed the shop to find out about the pattern. Its hard to tell from the picture, but how many different fabrics did you use of each color and what is the size of wallhanging?

Qbee 09-18-2010 11:14 AM

I think it depends on how many fabrics you want in the wreath (you can duplicate or not). I used the same light colored fabric for the background and the border like she did...then I picked 4 reds and 4 greens for my wreath...then a different red for the bow and a different grean for the little border and trim. I got some fabric that says "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" for the back because they are going out as gifts. For my own, I would just use something plain for the back. Have fun!!

MoMoSews 09-18-2010 11:21 AM

plainpat 09-19-2010 03:28 PM

I'm still wondering what's with 3 wks??? The store was open,as I passed by it several times.

Nana2Sew 09-25-2010 04:18 AM

I received a reply to my email from Michelle. The cost of the pattern is $8.50. She wanted me to call the store to place an order.
I am in Canada and was hoping to email my order once I know the total (including shipping) I'm still waiting for a reply. I really want to purchase this pattern. Would really appreciate your help!

Qbee 09-25-2010 08:57 AM

Huh....I was up there this week and I know she was filling some orders then. I think she is taking the orders over the phone to avoid having folks put credit card information in an email. I know she is at the shop today so it would be a good time to call. I do know that she is waiting for another shipment of the rulers. She has plenty of the patterns but was out of the rulers. Hope this information helps. :D

plainpat 09-25-2010 10:12 AM

She'd rather take credit card info on the phone? I don't want a ruler, just a pattern.

That's just my guess but you can give her a call. They are open til 5:00 pm EST.

plainpat 09-25-2010 10:45 AM

Ok...if DH makes it home in time, will give them a call.I gave up after 3-4 e mails. Oh,well...whatever works.

PS....he was already home & ordered the pattern for me. Total is $10.41....that's shipped to Ohio.
