The one that I did find is a thinner slice but I'm sure that you can make it whatever size you want once you get the basic pattern and instructions. Happy sewing and I hope that this link is of some help.

Well, I just went out & bought the magazine yesterday so now I have to get busy. :)

I wouldn't want to use it either. It's too pretty. If I made one of these, I'd have to make two, bc my grandbaby would just have to have one for tea parties. I bet she would go nuts for cupcakes too. need a pattern. wonder what I should type in? :D

Really cute pincushion! I've never heard of using chopped walnut shells as a filler before. Are they finely chopped or powdered or what?

I use sawdust as a filler and non-soaped steel wool pads on top of the
sawdust. (steel wool pads from hardware store) Supposedly the steel wool keeps your pins and needles sharp. Met someone today who fills her pincushions with sand. What's a pincushion maker to do?

The crushed walnuts are fine, it's actually "Lizard Litter" to put in the bottom of cages for reptiles. And it apparently keeps your pins and needles sharp and keeps them from rusting.

:)

quiltncrazy,
Are you asking for a cupcake pattern? Search the web, I found one this morning when I was looking for the slice of cake.
Type in cupcake pin cushion pattern and it should pop up for you. Also, try www.allpeoplequilt.com Good luck! :D

Quiltncrazy,
I found cupcake instructions at Joann.com. Go to the project section and click onto quilting. It pops right up on the first page of projects. They are actually called Baby Shower Cupcakes project #P099448 and are used as party favors or a centerpiece. I'm sure these can also be made into pin cushions by tweaking the instructions a bit. Have Fun :!:
