Hi Rita,
Nice job on the green and yellow log cabin. Your gift is a thoughtful one, for sure.

I am working on one too right now. It has me in a tizzy. I can't keep my blocks going right. LOL! I usually don't have trouble, but I keep getting interrupted and lose my chain of thought.

Kellie G 02-17-2011 06:11 PM

MISHNJIM 02-17-2011 06:30 PM

AWESOME  Is this done just like a normal log cabin? It's just the way that you put the blocks to make it look this way?

Leann 02-17-2011 06:31 PM

This exact pattern and layout is on my list. Hope mine is as gorgeous as yours.

Love it!

By cutting the "light" strips smaller in width than the "dark" strips, and the way you layout the blocks, it will cause the "curve" look

Ditter43 02-18-2011 05:03 PM

rita222 02-28-2011 07:40 PM

I made it for the first time 6 years ago in a class. the instructor gave us the pattern

Miss Ice 02-28-2011 07:44 PM

wonderful quilt. be great for irish household also :)

rita222 04-26-2011 06:19 PM

the pattern was given to us in a class I took years ago. You cut the dark stripes in one and a half inches and the lighter ones in one inch stipes the wave is developed by the change in the sizes.
