For the many fans of Peggy Toole... you will LOVE her upcoming group, "Florentine 3". Shops have until June 15th to place their orders with Robert Kaufman, and the collection will start shipping to stores in September.

Yes, these have metallic. Yes, there is a pattern (but it's not a free one).

There are three colorways, so I will post these pictures divided up that way. Let your LQS (and me) know which ones you like best!

First: pewter

The collection also includes some non-metallic blenders, some of which would work with more than one colorway:

YES YES YES YES YES YES!! Which colorway .... YES YES YES YES!!! I've been collecting fabric for a pattern that I've had for years. I think this might complete it. Especially the large medallion and the clamshell prints.

quiltsillysandi 05-02-2011 03:26 PM

Have the perfect pattern for these....Can't wait to see the other colors....

isnthatodd 05-02-2011 03:26 PM

They are offering FQ bundles, too. In addition to fabrics from the Florentine 3 group, they include some metallic Fusions to fill out the color story.

Those of you who like to do OBW and other kaleidoscope quilts, which design is calling to you the most? The floral, the large medallion, or the scallop/clamshell one?

Rose L 05-02-2011 03:43 PM

Gee...I can't decide. No matter which you get they are going to go FAST! Just beautiful.

MamaBear61 05-02-2011 03:44 PM

I like them all, I will be in deep trouble when these hit the store shelves.

Lori S 05-02-2011 03:47 PM

The medalion is just gorgous as a border!!! I would not use the clam shell for a OBW.

ALL the fabrics are incredible!

For OBW etc, the florals are calling to me ... particularly the earth and jewel. Would have to see them IRL to decide if I liked them, but I'd sure as heck want to check them out. The metallic would be a definite plus in a OBW.

Canadians, particularly Ontario ... do we get this fabric line here?

luckylindy333 05-02-2011 03:56 PM

They are gorgeous! I love a metallic. I would probably buy the smaller prints, not the fans, stripe or the paisley, although they are very beautiful. The pattern will be fun to see- oops, there they are. I do like that center medallion...

cmagee84 05-02-2011 03:59 PM

Love the jewel tones and the blenders. Not sure what to do with the large scale prints, but they are beautiful!

terri bb 05-02-2011 04:00 PM

idk its a toss up! i think pewter will win out for me; september you say, huh? just in time for christmas! are they going to be selling quilts or just the pattern? i will definitely have to order this! and do you know how big the quilt pattern is going to be?

Favorite Fabrics 05-02-2011 04:54 PM

It looks like you can buy the quilt pattern already here:
http://www.quiltmoments.com/Home_Page.php

It's the "Keyboard Kaleidoscope" pattern that you're looking for... and this site shows the pattern made up using a Northcott group and another fabric group as well. (More ideas are always good, right?)

Finished quilt measures 80" x 88". Pattern includes multiple size options.
