Feffertim sent me this topper for long arm quilting..she is a new quilter and quite the natural...I had no problems and everything quilted up very nicely! Great job!

I quilted a micro stipple around the border vegetables ( blocks and outer border) and I did loopie pebbles in the veggie blocks to make them raise up and become the "showpeice." I quilted the wavy crosshatch in the patched blocks. All various textures because I love mixing my texture....it makes it all stand out and defines each area.

I quilted this all freehand on my Innova no computer or pantograph quilting. I used Hobbs Polydown batting.

Thank you for looking!

Your quilting is very special - that is beautiful!

feffertim 03-05-2011 08:45 AM

wow, I'm so excited to get my topper back. As Charisma says, I am a novice quilter and never thought I could make something this beautiful, thanks to her no one will see my boo-boos, only the spectacular quilting. She is awesome

feline fanatic 03-05-2011 08:46 AM

I absolutely love the texture you gave this quilt! It just makes all the fabric themes POP and really shows off Feffertim's peicing! The back is just as visually interesting as the front and that is always the case with well thought out quilting or more appropriately "charismatic" quilting  Another winner Charismah!

Are you using micro-handles yet or still doing micro work with regular handles?

seymoore 03-05-2011 08:48 AM

What is the quilting pattern called that you used on the inside of the vegetable blocks? I love it!

tealfalcon 03-05-2011 08:51 AM

Every thing I look at your artistry I become more amazed. Your love of design and finish are nothing but Awsome. I am but a simple beginner but I do admire true workmanship/art. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. One question (no two), when do you sleep AND what do you dream of?

Thanks again.

Janet My 03-06-2011 05:13 AM

Daisygirl 03-06-2011 05:16 AM

That is fabulous! Grat job.

Miss Priss 03-06-2011 05:34 AM

Your quilting is gorgeous. What kind of batting do you use to make it puff ? Mine look flat compared to yours.

grocifer 03-06-2011 05:45 AM

I enjoy seeing your work as you always do an awesome job. I've decided before I quilt anything, I am going to check your pictures for inspiration. I just did a search to make sure I can always find them readily available on this site.
I have read often that we need to evenly quilt our pieces and have always been reluctant to heavily quilt in places and then use minimal quilting in others. You seem to do everything and I never hear of any of your pieces sagging. Next time I'll try everything!

matraina 03-06-2011 06:07 AM

You both did a fantastic job!
