Fell in Love with this fabric

I love this combination so much I was going to keep it for myself but decided to send it to a friend in RI. I hope she likes it as much as I do. :-) Solid black for the backing with self binding. Very fluffy but the picture doesn't do it justice. It's much brighter in real life. Maybe a close up will show it better. My picture taking skills need a lot of work but it is right side up. :-(

Over on Elisabrat's Medallion quilt in Blocks of the Month and Week, Jaba made a wonderful quilt using this focus fabric and you are right, it makes a fabulous quilt. Yours is very pretty.

Yes and no. I've been able to enjoy it while it was waiting to be finished. The self binding had to be redone a couple of times. :-( She's in her 90's and will enjoy it this winter around her legs..... nice and light weight but enough to keep the drafts away. :-)

Knowing that it will go to someone like that would definitely make it easier.

If you're talking about the southwestern print, I love it also. I made a quilt with it a while back because I loved it so, and when I saw it again I bought enough to do another quilt. Yours turned out very pretty.

solstice3 10-04-2014 03:36 AM

Nicely done

Thanks for sharing a beautiful quilt. The pattern is great. I saw a quilt where the center strip of the 3 strip block was a solid or tone on tone. This solid center strip was where one could sign their name or embroider words of inspiration.

We may make blocks for our guild president using flower fabric for the first and third strip and a solid center strip with our names signed. If so, I will be sharing this pattern of how she could use the blocks to make a lovely quilt like yours.
Thanks bunches.

When I had a shoulder replacement in March of 2013 I was given a small prayer pillow made from the focus fabric. I loved it and have tried several online sites hoping to find it since then. But I was never able to find it or the name or the manufacturer. I live in the North Texas area and we have several great LQS but I've searched for over a year and haven't found it. Can any of you wonderful members give me any information you have on the fabric? Thanks!!

I fell in love with this fabric also. Found mine in Albequerque and made a couple of professional totes from it. If I found it again, I'd buy enough for a quilt!! Thanks for sharing yours.
