A few for Mom

Here are a few quilts I've made for my Mom. I took the pic before quilting the first one. The second blue one was hand quilted. The third one is a small wall hanging that I hand quilted. The iris was machine embroidered. The fourth pic was a real labor of love, but I wish I'd cut the strips longer. And the last pic is the back of the one previous. I hand appliqued the iris on the back, and machine quilted the rest of the quilt.

I want to make a "Jelly Roll Race Quilt" for my DGD but I love that you pieced your strips. What size is your quilt? Did you sew all the pieces together into a long line or did you do sew each strip to the last? I love the HST border. Thank you for your input. |
