I have not been able to buy large quantities of fabric recently, bargain fat quarters are the real deal at the moment, hence the small projects. they are all learning curves for me plus my little bit of sanity time!!!

Wow, they are all so pretty, I would say keep using fat quarters!

DianneK 07-25-2015 02:48 AM

looks like you have been having fun, and isn't that what it is all about!! Nice projects

luvstoquilt 07-25-2015 03:54 AM

Your projects are adorable. Great learning experience.

QUILTNMO 07-25-2015 03:59 AM

very nice!!!!

Quiltngolfer 07-25-2015 05:20 AM

Adorable! I love little quilts. I have been doing the same thing lately. There's not as much time to sew in warm weather.

Grandma Bonnie 07-25-2015 05:22 AM

I love all of these! Very nice projects and love the fabrics!

GingerK 07-25-2015 05:26 AM

Wow! I love every one of your little projects. I too try different designs and techniques on small things--place mats, table toppers, candle mats--so much better than committing a lot of time, effort and money to a large project that one ends up hating.

And your use of colour is absolutely brilliant!

joym 07-25-2015 05:38 AM

Very, very pretty

Homespun 07-25-2015 05:55 AM

Great projects...love the black and gray.

Latrinka 07-25-2015 05:55 AM

All your projects are so very pretty! I esp. love the tumbling blocks! You could make them into small items for Christmas presents, just a thought!

#1piecemaker 07-25-2015 06:16 AM

Your projects are great! Makes me remember that I have a tumbling block UFO that I should finish. You have inspired me! Thanks!!

calla 07-25-2015 06:19 AM

Very pretty! Great skill building samples.

Yooper32 07-25-2015 08:12 AM

I would sure like to find some "bargain fat quarters" like you are using. What neat patterns and layouts you are using too.

ManiacQuilter2 07-25-2015 08:14 AM

I also enjoy making smaller quilted items. They go so much faster and then you are on to the next small project. Much more fun!!

tammyg 07-25-2015 09:26 AM

Joyce I have not yet done any other animals, but I have been considering it for a future project, I think a search on the internet would bring up some good templates to use.

Hi Tiggersmom .. you can if you look find a decent enough fat quarter for around £1.00 but quality is not always that good. Some stores do the bundles around about £6.00 for 5no. But as always the fabric you see and go WOW!! I like that!!! is so much more expensive....

You have just given me some great ideas. I have tons of FQ but I keep thinking quilts which I don't have time
for right now. Maybe I just need to focus on small projects. Love what you did.

kaylfordsollimo 07-26-2015 04:47 AM

Looks like your "therapy" has been very productive and resulting in lovely rewards.

coopah 07-26-2015 05:19 AM

Your sanity is doing fine! Sometimes smaller projects are better, anyway, and yours are wonderful! The bright colors appeal to me. Nice going!
