Thank-you...and Stella was my rescue baby...we got her at the Aninal Rescue when she was 9 months old. My husband and I use to clean cages every Saturday. I saw her was 3rd on the waiting list (they told me she was already taken but I requested my name to be added jus incase)...the first person who took her could not keep her since her cat hated other cats...than the director took her but she attacked her dog...we were blessed...we have her and love her...she gets along fine with my two other cats and also both of my sons dogs when they visit. Meant to be...she is now two.

Lovely. What batting did you use?

carolaug 10-24-2011 01:28 PM

I use warm and natural 100 percent cotton. I bought it by the roll and used my 50 percent off at Joanns. The roll seems to be lasting forever...well worth it. You should have seen my husbands face when I bought that big box of batting through the door.

My JoAnn's only carries it at 90" wide. What do you do when you have a larger quilt, which I often do when making it for my queen bed.

mayday 10-24-2011 01:55 PM

love it and puss cat fairy too.

NVDesertLady 10-24-2011 01:58 PM

Beautiful quilt and inspector!!

carolaug 10-24-2011 02:18 PM

I just lay the batting next to each other and do a zigzag stitch to sew them together....works perfect I also do that to my scrap pieces. No issues works and feels the same and no waste.

Thanks. I do that with scraps, but it did not occur to me to do it with large pieces! LOL!

Very pretty. I love that pattern. I just made a table cloth using the same pattern a couple weeks ago.

Very pretty..but I think you made a mistake. Looks to me like the quilt won't be yours at all..it seems it has been spoken for!

Jazzz 10-24-2011 06:56 PM

LOVE the tree and leaf fabric. Really adds to the character of a "fall" feeling which I usually just attribute to colors. Very nice job! Can picture you snuggling under it sighing and smiling!!!

3incollege 10-24-2011 08:29 PM

Such a lovely lap quilt. Looks warm and cosy. See the fur baby is giving it a test run. Gotta love those fur babies. They really know good stuff when they see it.
