Thanks gabeway. Married quilters? That sounds like fun.

rural01 09-25-2014 07:14 AM

Cats and quilts are like cake and ice cream. They just seem to go together. :-)

rural01 09-25-2014 07:15 AM

Thanks Homespun. And congrats on your retirement. I'm retired too--tis great!

feline fanatic 09-25-2014 08:00 AM

Fabulous quilt! Love how the back came out too. And obviously your inspector approves.

Mariposa 09-25-2014 08:05 AM

Congrats on the lovely finish! Such a great variety of blocks and techniques used. Your inspector is a cutie too! :)

fivepaws 09-25-2014 10:03 AM

I have to agree. Love everything about your quilt.

It's beautiful, and I love how you worked the backing fabrics. You got a fancy back without having to work too hard at it. Your quilting is lovely, too.

It's absolutely gorgeous!

Sewbeeit2 09-26-2014 12:05 AM

Great job on the back! Well done! Love your colors too

twinkie 09-26-2014 02:25 AM

How pretty. That is sew nice.

Linda1 09-26-2014 05:03 AM

I love it. Blue and yellow are my favorite color combination.

mariatherese 09-26-2014 06:46 AM

Lovely quilt!

rural01 09-26-2014 08:29 AM

Thanks for the kind words. I too am a feline fanatic. And, they just seem to gravitate to our quilts. That is as good a reason as any to keep making them. :-)

rural01 09-26-2014 08:32 AM

I thank you and Kasey, a.k.a. quilt inspector Kasey thanks you, Mariposa. I really love BOM (block of the month) quilts. This one was particularly fun. It came from this board, which makes it extra special.

rural01 09-26-2014 08:33 AM

Thanks GrammaNan. Love your signature and couldn't agree more!

rural01 09-26-2014 08:36 AM

Thanks Sewbeeit2. The picture doesn't do the colors justice. More than one color was a new step for me. I'm glad I took it.

rural01 09-26-2014 08:36 AM

Thanks Twinkie. :-)

rural01 09-26-2014 08:38 AM

Thanks Linda1. I was a little nervous at first, because turquoise isn't exactly blue, but I'm pleased at how it turned out. My room is yellow so it's all good. :-)

rural01 09-26-2014 08:40 AM

Thanks fivepaws. Everything looks better with paws...

MargeD 09-26-2014 09:27 AM

Besides having your cat's approval, the quilt is gorgeous, what a beautiful sampler quilt. Nice job.

watson's mom 09-26-2014 09:41 AM

Beautiful quilt, you did a good job with it. Love the colours. Thank you for sharing.

RedGarnet222 09-26-2014 12:38 PM

I really love everything about your quilt. You can not tell it was a challenge at all! Beautiful work. Your little kitty looks like my Sampson who is gone now. He was 21 when he passed and spry and talkative as ever. I hope your litter is as much fun as he was.

KimS 09-26-2014 01:38 PM

Very nice! I love the colors you chose. And I think your kitty is also saying, "Good job!" :)

solstice3 09-26-2014 05:00 PM

Beautiful quilt and a quilt as you go too! Where can I get the pattern / directions

caspharm 09-26-2014 05:53 PM

It looks great! Love the inspector!

zennia 09-26-2014 05:53 PM

Very pretty and some interesting blocks to. Yes You Can

PenniF 09-26-2014 06:34 PM

Congratulations on finishing a really beautiful quilt.....from the colors to the piecing to the layout to the quilting - it's just great. I agree - when i get to do QAYG - I am VERY happy cuz i only have my Viking.
PS....very handsome kitty as well. Why do they come running the minute you lay a quilt out???

ccthomas 09-26-2014 07:53 PM

Looks like several fun challenges to learn with this quilt. Nice finish.

QM 09-26-2014 11:34 PM

nicely completed.

Imagin 09-27-2014 10:32 AM

That is absolutely gorgeous, and inspiring!

Lissa 09-27-2014 05:20 PM

I heard that!...a lot careful piecing went into this quilt. It is absolutely a treasure. Cute cat too!/lissa

Caswews 09-28-2014 08:02 PM

Very pretty !

rural01 10-01-2014 06:46 AM

Thanks MargeD. I'm surprised there is only one cat on it here. Now that I've put it on the bed, it seems to attract the other three as well. :-)

rural01 10-01-2014 06:47 AM

Thanks for saying so Watson's Mom. Is that Watson in the picture?

rural01 10-01-2014 06:52 AM

Thank you RedGarnet222. I loved every aspect of making this quilt. I can't tell you how much it taught me. I'm sorry about your Sampson. I know how much these felines mean to us. I lost one three years ago that I may never get over, even though I have five others. 21 is a very good age. My Emily was only 18 when I lost her. I am hoping Kasey here, and her four sisters will live long, healthy lives. They just turned 7. We also have their mother, Timi. I just adore the girls.

rural01 10-01-2014 06:55 AM

Thanks KimS. Kitty sleeps on this quilt every night, as do two of her sisters. There can be no better testament that this quilt works as it was intended. :-)

rural01 10-01-2014 06:57 AM

Thanks Solstice3. The pattern is listed on this very board. It was the 2013 BOM. All the patterns for the blocks are there. I did change up a couple of them and added a few more, but there are 12 beautiful blocks listed.

rural01 10-01-2014 06:58 AM

Thanks! :-)

rural01 10-01-2014 07:01 AM

Thanks Zennia. That was the theme and I'm so glad I did! :-)

rural01 10-01-2014 07:08 AM

Thanks Carol. It was challenging, but that was the part I liked the most. I can't wait to do another. :-)

rural01 10-01-2014 07:08 AM

Thank you QM. :-)
