What a beautiful quilt. You should be proud of yourself for finishing it.

lass 03-04-2010 01:57 PM

You should enter it in your local county/state fair. It is a stunner!

mcw1947 03-04-2010 02:52 PM

very lovely ! We all admit some things take longer than others ! Bless your heart....in many ways

peppermint31 03-04-2010 03:42 PM

that is beautiful!!! where did you get the pattern

JJean 03-04-2010 03:48 PM

Wow! I love it! It was worth it because it's lovely! I bet you're happy! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Lois-nounoe 03-04-2010 05:46 PM

Love the pattern! I think I would applique the hearts also. I have a thing about stenciling not coming out well so I've never tried it. I was thinking blue when I first saw your quilt! Maybe with flowers in the centers instead of hearts?

Lois-nounoe 03-04-2010 05:50 PM

I have a portion of a quilt, Tennessee Walze, that I tried before I every knew what I was doing, 20+ yrs ago. Hope for it to be finished? What I have done was done by the quilt as you go method when it first came out. I hand quilted the blocks I have done after I put 4 together and then joined them all. Came out very well. I just stopped working on it.

I have so many WIP and so many more projects I want to do. I have made a vow to myself as to never again take this long to finish a project. By the way, the quilt has been to West Va. Ohio, Virginia. and back to Ohio.

You're quilt is absolutely stunning and your workmanship is amazing! Congratulations! Wow! I'm in awe.

Hi Penny and thank you. I normally get my quilts completed even if it does take awhile. At the moment I have 3 in progress and will definitely have all 3 finished by fall - actually with counting the round robin that's out there I have 4 but it helps to be retired as I can quilt a lot and all 4 will be completed by fall at the latest.

Hugs
Patty

Wow! This is really beautiful. I have 3 quilt tops that I bought down in TX that need to be quilted. They were made in the 30's. Guess that makes them almost 80 yrs old. Not sure yet how I want to finish them.
