I started this quilt last summer... I just couldn't get time to finish it. I used my sons jeans so there is some sentimental value here. This is the second quilt like this I did and wow are they are these a lot of work. I am happy with how they turned out this is quilt #2. Thanks for looking

Love your colour combo and layout! It's probably quite a heavy quilt with all that denim.

meyert 02-16-2015 08:12 AM

Thanks everyone... its my sons jeans but I purchased flannel for the inside. That would have been awesome if I would have thought to save their shirts too!!!

I love your quilt! That is really beautiful. Great job. What is the name of the pattern, and where might I find it?

twinkie 02-17-2015 06:56 AM

That represents a lot of work but the outcome is fantastic.

barny 02-17-2015 07:21 AM

Very, very nice looking.

daisydebby 02-17-2015 08:25 AM

I think your quilt is great!! I've been saving blue jeans and this would be a great project. Have strips cut for a log cabin type and jelly roll? This I've seen but don't know the pattern name. Would you mind telling us? Also, it looks a bit labor intensive. Did you put a batting in? Thanks for sharing.

Mariposa 02-17-2015 08:25 AM

Kudos on the finish!

Jingle 02-17-2015 08:38 AM

Beautiful, nice colors and pattern.

meyert 02-17-2015 08:41 AM

Thanks everyone... I don't know if there is a pattern or what it is officially called. I am sure that I saw this type of quilt here in the picture section. If you search here you will probably find some more. I did got to You Tube and searched "denim circle rag quilt" and got directions. The links are pasted here....I didn't use the Olfa circle cutter or the GO!. I cut my own template and traced the circles then cut them out while watching TV I did not put batting in my squares. It was a lot of work and got to be quite hard to maneuver that denim on my sewing machine. But I am very glad that I did it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekIpUeAM-Cw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_hKEDmxQwM
