finished a 10 year old sampler quilt UFO
 

started this quilt over 10 years ago --- all kinds of (excuses) later i finally finished it-
i am going to give it to a favorite Aunt for mother's day- she's gonna love it!
i didn't do too good with the picture taking- it is 12 blocks not just the 9 that show up- & the pic of the back doesn't do too good at showing quilting detail---but it's done & i'm happy.

It is really pretty. My first quilt was a sampler, but not anywhere near that good.

Your quilt is beautiful. I think I can beat you in the number of years to finish a quilt. Maybe 15-20. I collect the pattern and fabric then may start it then life happens.
Funny thing about your quilt, I think I reconize some of the fabric in your quilt as some in my stash. lol.

Oh this reminds me. My first was a sampler too, but I didn't like the sampler blocks with the log cabins as the pattern suggested. I still have those sampler blocks!! Oh no, actually another class I took was a christmas sampler. I still have those as blocks as well. They don't look that great togther.

Your quilt is so pretty! I have a sampler quilt UFO waiting to be worked on. Along with a few other UFOs. So what did I do? I found a free quilt pattern online to use a charm pack I bought, and went out today to get some coordinating fabrics for the boarders. I am itching to make this quilt. Guess my UFOs will have to wait a little longer! :)
