I like the blue sashing too.

After I posted that I liked the blue sashing, I saw the attic window and love it.

I got 24 blocks, four each in the colors green, red, yellow, purple, blue and bright yellow. Two of each "girls", two boys. Is there a "mathematical" way to lay this blocks out and do you think I should go with sashing or without like Champagnolle? granny the blue fabric has little stars ok, just thought I would fool around in EQ5 to lay this out...just a suggestion |

What do you think? the horizontal fabric of the two brown versions could also be switched |
I like the attic windows I still like the brown.
I like the brown sashing as it shows the blocks better.
These are so so cute. I love how you used the woodgrain fabric to look like the craddle. Could you post just one close up each of just one boy and girl block so we can see the details of the bears better? thanks Love them great idea for practicing blocks.

that is so adorable!!!

my favorite girls block favorite boy block |
If you sash, I LOVE the yellow!!! Very bright and cheery, and lets the bear blocks shine!!
How did you do the furry look to your applique stitch? Is part of it by hand? It makes the bear look more dimensional also.

I found the design by allstitching.com and its all done by the embroidery machine
This is just about my favorite child's quilt. Bravo!
It's wonderful. I like it with the sashing!
you've got an adorable baby quilt there.. i like everything about the yellow w/ red dots sashing.. molly
Adorable!! And great job on the embroidery, too! I like the brown sashing as it doesn't compete with the beds. Then probably the yellow print for a border, maybe doing a scallop border or prairie points.
As for layout, I would alternate boy-girl and then see how they play out with the design and colors of their little blankies. Be sure to post a photo when it's done....thanks for sharing!! |
that is so cute I also like the blue sashing
So very cute!! I love the bears with the quilt blocks. Your colors are perfect.
i like the bottom pic with the yellow dotted sash ,
I love it. Makes a great little boy quilt. May try to make one myself as I make baby quilts for new babies born at our church and try to stick with boy/girl patterns.
I like the brown sashing. Really makes the bears pop! |
DEFINITELY the blue!
These bears are absolutely adorable. I prefer the sashing, it seems to set each block off nicely.
Thank you all so much for your feedback. As suggested by Alienquilter I go with an attic window including the brown fabric and so far I like it very much.
Will post pics, as soon as I am done..........might take a while |
How Cute!

I really like the sashing, especially the last 2 fabrics. It looks great for a child.
I vote for the brown sashing. It makes the blocks look really bright!
Really like the white sashing :-D
One of the cutest quilts I have seen on here. You can't go wrong. Anyway you lay it out, it is going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
i like it with the light colored sashing,,real cute quilt
Adorable - like the brown sashing - want to make one!
Love your blocks!!! I would vote for brown sashing 1st...2nd blue...the other colors wash it out too much...
I prefer the cocoa brown sashing as it seems to high light the cute bears.
Wow! Your bears are so, so cute. I can tell you enjoyed making them a lot more than I enjoyed making mine. I loved piecing the little quilts but not making the bears.
The blocks are so cute and I love it with the brown sashing - really makes the blocks stand out. Adorable pattern!
It's going to be an adorable quilt! Definitely use the sashing & I'll vote for the bright orange, it makes the blocks pop!
Suggestion: Take pictures of each setting and see which one you keep going back to. That will make your decision for you. VERY CUTE
Oh, how sweet. No matter how you arrange it it will be terrific.
I LIKE THE SASHING, THE BROWN, BLUE AND YELLOW. THE WHITE KIND OF WASHES IT OUT, MIGHT TRY A RED BCKGROUND WITH A FLOWER FOR A GIRLS.
